AURIGA
The name:
AURIGA is the Latin name for the constellation of the carter. With this special kind of red wine cuvée, the Pfeffingen winery strives for the highest red wine “dimension” year after year. Only the very best grapes from the grape varieties Merlot, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Dorsa (breeding from Cabernet Sauvignon and Dornfelder) and Sankt Laurent are used for this.
The expansion:
The grapes are carefully selected by hand, destemmed and fermented separately on the mash. After standing for two weeks, they are gently pressed. Following the malolactic fermentation, the wines are stored in oak barrels for 12 months.
