The people of action

Jan Eymael and Karin Lambert (right)

After studying at the famous Geisenheim university and their common experiences as junior-winemakers in Australia and Bordeaux the couple goes its own professional ways. In the meantime Karin Lambert works as PR-consultant for a renowned advertising agency in Karlsruhe. But she stays connected with the topic wine and has the opportunity to get to know people, regions and wines from all over the world. Jan Eymael shares the management of the family estate with his mother Doris. He´s able to bring in some new impulses that already have proven to be successful.

"You can only inspire your customers when you´re enthusiastic about the wines yourself", the passionate wine expert claims and devotedly looks after the commercialisation and distribution of her wines.

Since 1987 she has been leading the family-enterprise on her own authority. Thus, she is one of the few women leading a German wine-growing estate.

Rainer Gabel

The "allrounder" Rainer Gabel is not only the winemaker but also the technical manager. The academically-trained engineer has been in this enterprise since 1995, and has substancially contributed to the success of the wine-growing estate. "Because of the combined top sites together with the extremely good technical equipment there is given an ideal base for a quality orientated and economical work in the wine-growing estate of Pfeffingen.

Karl and Helene Fuhrmann

When, in 1952, the young couple took over an agricultural farm, the aims were clearly defined. In more than 40 years of hard work they assembled the estate and were able to lead it to the top of the Palatinian wine-growing estates.

The two younger generations can profit greatly from this experience of long decades. The dynamics of youth combined with the wisdom of age complement one another in a fertile unity.
