The tradition of viticulture within the family

Already in the year 1622 the Schnell family was awarded the family arms by the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire Ferdinand II.
Descendants of this family moved to the Palatinate where they´ve been engaged with viticulture for more than 250 years. On April 21st 1931, Valentin Schnell bought the estate of Pfeffingen. There he founded the wine- growing estate which was taken over by his son Fritz Schnell after his father´s death in 1937. In 1952, Karl Fuhrmann and his wife Helene (whose maiden name was Schnell) took over the wine-growing estate and were able to lead it to one of the top estates of the Palatinate.
Since 1991, their daughter Doris Eymael (whose maiden name is Fuhrmann) has officially been leading this traditional wine-growing estate. Thus, she is one of the few women on top of a German wine-growing estate.
